LGM C&S is looking for a Business Development Manager or Chef operational officer for Maputo.
Function purpose:
- The current owner of the company is about to engage on other projects, leaving none or whatsoever time to manage this legal start-up that has just started to put its footprints on the market;
- The new substitute to this position will have to run the start-up from this product testing phase until the establishment of the business in the territory.
Duties:
- Responsible for the business development plan in Mozambique;
- Responsible to investigate new prospects and potential new clients to bring business to the company;
- Management of the full cycle of the commercial process including proposal, agreement and contracts;
- Full ownership of customer requests and exploring new opportunities to add value to the company;
- Attend trade shows, source leads and other events;
- Coordinate with functional teams to ensure timely and effective implementation of business plans;
- Lead and motivate a team while optimizing resources and processes in order to achieve defined goals for the company;
- Negotiate and forge business relations;
- Submit monthly reports.
Requisites:
- Degree in Business, Law, Management or similar;
- At least 3 years’ experience in business development;
- Direct or indirect work experience with manpower companies;
- Strong stakeholder management skills;
- Must be able to network and identify new leads;
- Results-oriented with great skills in communication, organization and negotiation;
- Flexible, self-motivated, disciplined, take ownership of job at hand;
- Team-oriented, able to accept and create change;
- Strong understanding of the customer, market dynamics and requirements;
- Ensure effective working relationships with all relevant clients/partners, third parties and internal colleagues;
- Strong sense of initiative and ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
- Fluent in English and Portuguese;
- Capability to reply tenders for National and International companies;
- Capability to negotiate with Nationals and Foreigners (fluent English speaker is mandatory).
