Specialist: Shared Technology Capabilities

Description

Role purpose: To implement business and software technology capabilities that are integrated into applications. These capabilities don’t provide any standalone value/service by themselves and are expected to be used by different applications, owned by different teams  

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

  • Act as a SPOC for on-boarding  of systems into monitoring, tracking and logging platforms  
  • Support systems architect implementing the right tools that can be used across the different ICT divisions to support the business/technology strategy 
  • Support business managers in implementing the right tools that can be used across the organization that support the business strategy 
  • Implement, maintain and support any shared technology capabilities tool being by different systems, regardless of being in the Cloud or on Premises and ensure proper capacity management and monitoring 
  • Ensure the capabilities have the appropriate performance level to no impact negatively on the performance of integrated systems 
  • Deploy, operate and support centralized internal single-sign-on capabilities & underlying process 

Core competencies, knowledge and experience

  • Linux server administration 
  • Good understanding of Networking 
  • Strong knowledge of encryption, hashing and certificates management 
  • Planning & feedback 
  • Hands-on knowledge of cloud-based systems, network and security  

Must have technical / professional qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related subject 
  • The candidate must hold the following certifications: MCSE Windows Server 2016, CompTIA Cloud+, CompTIA Linux+ LPIC-1 or any others equivalent 
  • Understanding of IP networks and TCP/IP technologies (DNS, SNMP, etc.) 
  • 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration or Security

  • Capabilities uptime & performance 
  • Improved stakeholder rating and feedback 
  • Capacity management.
