Description

Role purpose: Release Train Engineer will be responsible to lead, facilitate and execute Agile Release Trains ensuring delivery of the technology solution or value stream produced in shortest cycle time.   


Key accountabilities and decision ownership

  • Lead the preparation and execution of PI planning events, system demos and PI inspect & Adapt for the release train;  
  • Work with the Product Manager and architect lead, at program level, to ensure high quality of features in the backlog; 
  • Provide reports and facilitate PI syncs with objective of keeping stakeholders informed of the release trains progress toward PI commitments;  
  • Ensure the release train establish realistic commitments using historical capacity and performance data; 
  • Active participation in the Lean-agile transformation committee responsible to implement agile and SAFe standards in the organization. 
  • Escalate impediments, manage risks, drive relentless improvement ensuring value delivery. 


Core competencies, knowledge and experience

  • Strong Scaled Agile Framework knowledge;  
  • Excellent cross-team communication skills including technical writing, across various levels; 
  • Ability to assess problems and solve them with sense of urgency; 
  • Leadership, planning skills, confident, Self-driven towards achieving goals. 
  • Proven experience in managing events and coordinating multiple teams in a technology environment.  
  • Ability to speak English and Portuguese; 


Must have technical / professional qualifications

  • Relevant diploma or degree in Information Systems Technology; 
  • 4+ years of experience in managing technology demand;  
  • 3+ years of experience in agile delivery playing Scrum Master, Product Manager or any other equivalent role; 
  • Strong knowledge both theoretical and practical in implementing agile projects at large scale (SAFe); 
  • GSM knowledge (desirable). 
  • CSP, PMI-ACP, SAFe SPC4 or equivalent certification (desirable). 
     

Key performance indicators

  • Success delivery of PI ceremonies with Continuous improvement and commitment reliability of PI objective; 
  • Reduce time to market by ensuring continuous improvement in teams cadence and program measures; 
  • More frequent releases whilst reducing defect counts to stimulate net promoter score and strategic investment;
